1964 Pontiac Grand Prix -

(Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.)
We are excited to have this sleek "Gentleman's Musclecar" in our inventory. This is a beautiful example of a Grand Prix that offers a 389 under the hood, 8 lug brakes, bucket seats, and factory A/C. In '64 the Pontiac Grand Prix was more of an everyday, smooth, quiet car to get around in. The option of having the car built with a 389ci V8 under the hood gave the Grand Prix another personality.
The body and trim on this car show extremely well, and thanks to its origin in California, the car is solid. This Grand Prix is a rare Twin Trim Tag car. One trim tag looks like a normal trim tag other than "Special" being noted as the color. The second one denotes the color on the car as Goldwood Yellow. Goldwood Yellow was actually a color offered on the '64 Impala SS, while Pontiac offered no Yellow hues until the '65 model year with Mayfair Maize. The twin trim tag was something that surprised the PHS group when drawing up the literature for this car. This car's fit and finish is very nice with chrome and trim in great condition and body panels that line up just as they should.
Inside the car is a tidy interior finished in the factory correct black with black bucket seats. The interior features options such as; console, retractable seat belts, clock, factory tach, and power steering. Under the hood is a 389ci V8 with a 4bbl carb perched atop the intake manifold. A 2 speed automatic transmission handles gear selection.
This awesome vintage Pontiac may look docile as it floats down the boulevard, but
a 300 horsepower 389 under the hood, and sleek styling that did not give away its power make this Grand Prix a "Gentleman's Muscle car." This big car is quick and a pleasure to drive.
