Car description

This 1969 Pontiac GTO Convertible is a rare real-deal drop-top that has been given some terrific investments. While you'll appreciate all the touches that make this a great driving classic, Pontiac fan also know the upgrade to the 428 V8 is truly magical. And not only was it built with extra performance goodies, but you get full control over it all with a four-speed.

This was one of the most aggressive years ever for the GTO, and so you'll love a version that really gets the look right. The color-matched Endura front end, dual hood scoops, Rally II wheels, big dual exhaust tips, and a full-with rear spoiler all announce the muscle car king. This even has those iconic options like the hidden headlights and hood tach (they will need servicing to ideally function properly.) The paint is a nice blue with a nautical twist like many of the colors we saw from this era, and it continues to have a good gloss for this sunshine-friendly drop-top. The real-deal GTO convertibles are already quite rare, and this was built to be a tribute to The Judge drop-tops. Pontiac fans know these originals are so rare you'd add a zero to the end of the price of this one just for an original example, and so a good tribute with the aggressive striping package makes for the ideal muscle car cruiser. And beyond even just all the sporty touches, you can see an overall quality in the details, like the newer black convertible top and how those big doors close with confidence.

With the flip of a switch, the roof powers down to reveal a vivid blue interior. This is nice to share with family and friends, and there's even an upgraded retro-style AM/FM stereo to keep them entertained. But in a car like this, the driver will always be king. That's why the front has bucket seats and a center console in-between. Your left hand will be instantly attracted to the bright wood rim of the steering wheel, and it's mounted on a tilt column. Plus, your right hand may never want to leave the Hurst shifter. There are provisions for power windows that will need some maintenance, and there's a newly air conditioning system that needs to be completed. So while it's already an impressive interior, with just a little extra love, you'll have an ultra-desirable setup. After all, power windows and a power top mean opening the convertible top without the driver's seat, and air conditioning will mean you can enjoy doing this even in the summertime.

You're going to love lifting the hood and showing off the well-sorted engine bay. After all, the moment you tell people this has a 428 cubic-inch V8, you're going to get some serious respect from muscle car fans. That's because this kind of upgrade was the magic displacement that came from the special Royal Bobcat GTOs. This one really lives up to the muscle car legacy with great performance pieces like the Holley double-pumper four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock hi-rise intake, and X-pipe dual exhaust. And you get full control over this power package thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. You even have a proper reinforced rear end with boxed trailing arms and a rear sway bar. Add in power steering, power brakes with front discs, and wide BF Goodrich T/As, and this is an all-around great driving package.

Iconic power meets all the right upgrades in this real-deal GTO convertible. So at a price like this, it's time to hurry up before this one is gone. Call today!!!
