1969 Pontiac Firebird 350 Automatic
If you've been looking for a car you can just buy drive and enjoy consider this beautiful example of muscle car history from 1969. The Pontiac Firebird is an iconic American Classic and this specimen will not disappoint!! From the rumble of the V8 to the High Gloss black exterior this is one hot car!!
Black on Black with the Black vinyl top, Bucket seats, automatic shift on the console.Body is immaculate, no scratches, no dents, paint looks phenomenal, a definite head turner. This car is a definite contender for Best of Class trophies at any local or regional show. Far better than what you see many people selling on internet in 'driver condition', this car will not disappoint you!
This is a mostly original car, the 400 hood was obviously added at one point, it does have the hood tach and it does function correctly. There has been a CD player added in the glove box (pictured) and some small speakers mounted under the dash on both driver and passenger kick panel. A set of analog gauges are mounted below the dash/ashtray area. Other than those additions everything on this car appears true to what was factory original. The car has been repainted and also floor pans have been replaced at one time. Interior appears quite original, impossible to tell for sure of course but looks like mostly original material on seats, dash, console, door pads etc.
Mechanically this car again does not disappoint in anyway! Car fires up quickly and idles up as it should, warms up some and idles down as intended. No puff of smoke that is so common on these GM small blocks, have yet to see any smoke from the tailpipes of this car. Also underneath is dry, transmission has had fresh seals installed, dipstick, pan gasket, tail shaft seal. Engine does not leak, rear end does not drip a drop. Car accelerates, shifts and goes down the road beautifully, very well behaved both in cornering and braking. Exhaust has the throaty growl we've all come to love from the dual pipe / quad turn down tail pipes that Firebirds are known for.
Tires are in excellent condition, tread is high and white letter side walls look great. Brakes do not pulse or pull excessively, suspension glides over bumps. Appears to have had a rear bolt on sway bar kit installed which of course helps prevent body roll and makes those corners so much more fun! Car steers straight and stops as it should.
** UPDATE / EDIT : To answer all the questions I have received so far; This car is equipped with power brakes, front are disc, rear are drum. The car is also equipped with power steering. It is not equipped with A/C. --Thanks for all the interest!! **
I can't stress enough if you are looking for that sub $30,000 car that you can just hop in turn the key and look good at any cruise, show, or Sunday afternoon ride, this is definitely one you should consider. I've been in the car business for over 20 years, cars like this are hard to find in this price range, this is a nicer car than what you will find at your average swap meet and shows.
I do have multiple extra pictures I can email out on request, but please serious inquiries only. Also I've been burned many a time on eBay from people making offers or clicking Buy It Now before they've had time to get a transport quote or be approved for financing. Please don't be that person!! Electronic payments are not accepted unless prior arrangements have been made. I will accept Cashier's check, Bank Loan Check, Cash, Personal check with 10 day holding period.
I am a Wisconsin dealer and therefore if you are a resident of Wisconsin I will be responsible for collecting appropriate sales tax and title/registration from you.
