Car description |
---|
Beautiful car that my dad is reluctant to sell but due to health issues, it is necessary. Numbers matching car.
Purchased/Restored: He purchased the car in 1998 and restored in 2000; not off the frame but did have new floor-pans, Painted (seriously no Bondo the car is super straight). New interior was put in as well.
Drive-train: Transmission and engine rebuilt in 2019. I have personally drove the car this week and it is smooth and a blast to drive. It has the 389 with a 2bbl carb. NO LEAKS: Been in my garage all week and dry underneath. The original paint is still on the motor, just needs to be shined up!!
Issues: you will see in the pics that there is a crack in the drivers side door window. The speedometer stopped working this week while I was driving it, the mileage still clicks forward but the speedometer needle is broke. Got a lot of complements all week, seems to be a very rare car.
Notes: I did put in a new battery this week. Tires seem good and steering and brakes are tight. I personally would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere, it is one of my dads favorite possessions, and he does hate that he has to depart with it. You will see that he took great pride in this car with waxing, garaging and keeping up with maintenance. I think it can stand up to almost any 59 Pontiac I have seen online.
