Car description

Pontiac . For Sale unusual 1977 Pontiac Phoenix (upscale Ventura) GM X-body project car. I bought car from the long time owner who had drove it for years and then parked it on his desert ranch. I don't like to say rare but this car is definitely unusual and I don't see many, if any like it. This car is equipped with all the high performance Pontiac stuff from it's era and is comparable to a Chevrolet Nova SS of the same era. This Phoenix is also mostly complete and original from what I can see with the only thing missing being the jack and the air cleaner assembly does not look like the factory piece as it won't sit on the carb correctly. This car has A/C, Cruise and a Chevrolet 350 4bbl engine from the factory (not a Pontiac engine), turbo 350 3 speed auto transmission, limited slip rear end, and Radial Tuned Suspension. The radial tuned suspension gives it thicker front sway bar, rear sway bar, heavy duty springs and better shocks than the normal suspension. It also has sport mirrors, rally wheels (this car has two extra), bucket seats, center console with floor shifter, Sport steering wheel (Same as Trans Am of the era), full gauges which includes a vacuum gauge from the factory. This car was a factory red and white car with a white interior however that interior is in poor shape after setting in the desert sun for years and needs redone. The good thing is most of the interior should swap over from any GM X-body (Nova, Omega, Ventura, Apollo) of the era. The body is in good shape for the year. It has some scaling rust in the trunk from a leaking trunk seal but the trunk seems solid with no holes that I can find and doesn't appear to be soft. The passenger side quarter one spot about the size of a baseball on the body where it looks like something hit but it is not rusted through. It has a few dings but no major rust or dents and still wears the factory red paint. The undercarriage is in good shape with just surface rust I was able to get the engine started with starting fluid and a battery. Once started it would run on its own but will need some carburetor work. The transmission is in unknown shape as the car would not move on its own but the shifter was very hard to move so perhaps the shifter cable is frozen or binding. All in all this is a great project X-body GM car that has a lot of factory performance stuff from the day. If you have any questions ask and i will do my best to answer or take more photos if needed. Buyer is responsible for shipping. The car does not move under it's own power so keep that it mind for shipping. I will take paypal with the buyer handling the fees, Cash or certified check. The car will be held until any and all funds clear my bank. Deposit in 72 hours
