Car description

A real-deal Factory yellow 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT. These don't come along very often and not many were made, only 241 Yellow GT's were ever produced. Chances are good that if you're reading this ad, you already know common information about the Fiero and how the 1988 models are the final and most desired year due to the revised suspension and steering systems. Finally for 1988, the old Chevette and Citation based steering/suspension was gone, and a whole new system used. GM finally got it right, then killed off the car. Bright yellow (sometimes referred to as "Talbot Yellow") was by far the rarest color and only available in the final year of production. This Fiero has an interesting, if not "odd", combination of options. It is an automatic (I can almost hear the groaning from here), it's a plain roof car, performance sound/subwoofer, power lumbar,deck-lid spoiler, and also has the common Option Pkg 1 (AC, cruise, PM, PL, etc.),and more. Actual numbers are unknown, so it's purely speculative, but this car could very well be a "1 of 1" or "1 of 2" such equipped. When you start with only 241 Yellow GT's ever made then figure in that less than 45% of GT's were automatics in '88. Only 34% of GT's had the plain roof. Only 30% had the subwoofer, Under 13% had power lumbar driver's seat, and so on. Again, final numbers aren't known to me, but with this combination of features and options, it could well be one of a kind. I've owned the car for 4 years now, and has been my baby. Always stored inside and covered. I've put almost 2k miles on it since I bought it and haven't had to do very much to it. Oil changes. Cooling system flush. Battery. Tires (due to age, not tread-wear). It starts/runs/drives great. I mostly used it as a sunny day summer cruiser and show car. It gets a tremendous amount of attention wherever it goes, and has won LOTS of trophies at the local shows (trophies go with the car). I haven't taken it out on the road yet this year do to there still being salt on our roadways up here in Wisconsin, we need a good strong rain to wash the roads off before I will take it out. I was told when I bought it that the car has never seen snow and was always garage kept. From it's gorgeous condition, I have no reason to dispute that. Things that I know it needs: The right side speakers (passenger side) have no sound coming from them, it's been like that since I bought it, and it never bothered enough to fix it. There is a replacement speaker for both the dash and the "b" pillar that comes with the car which was provided to me by the previous owner, I just never had it looked into. The cassette player on the stereo doesn't work. It'll play a cassette for a few seconds and then sounds funny....doesn't "eat the tape" but it stops playing, another thing that didn't really bother me. And last year the AC stopped blowing cold, which I had planned to convert/fix this year if I were keeping it. Lots of various paperwork and other neat "stuff" comes with it: including a photocopy of the original window sticker. Clean and clear WI title in my name. Pictures of the Autocheck report from when I bought it will be below (again, I'll attempt to embed the pictures). I'm going to try to embed pictures into this description (eBay only allows 12 pictures with this type of listing), and I can get SERIOUS interested parties more pics on request. But please don't waste my time (and yours) if you're not serious. I strongly encourage, and welcome any serious buyer to come see the car in person before hitting "Buy It Now" or submitting an offer. The time for inspection is BEFORE you purchase, not after. And all the pictures in the world can't take the place of an in person inspection, so please come see it for yourself. If that's not feasible, consider hiring a third party vehicle inspection service. Located in Hudson, WI (about 20 minutes east of the Twin Cities of MN, and about a half hour from MSP airport). Buyer responsible for pick up or shipping, but I will assist however I can with it. Buyer will need to provide immediate deposit of $200 through PayPal, with the rest to be paid Cash/Certified Check before car leaves my possession. I will NOT take full payment through PayPal. Thanks for checking out this little yellow gem.
