Car description |
---|
Up for sale at NO RESERVE is a 1975 e-code Firebird Formula 2-door sport coupe project vehicle. This car originally came equipped with a 350 cubic inch (4-barrel carb) engine. It was equipped with a dual exhaust. It is a project car that I got from a scrap dealer. IMPORTANT: the car has no title, but it has good bones. I was told the owner was working on it when he abandoned it. The car is missing the Formula hood and will need a new nose, but the car appears to be in pretty good shape otherwise. Windshield is cracked, but all other glass is there and good. There appears to be no major rot on this car at all. This is a very salvageable car or a parts car. This Formula has a 10-bolt rear end. It has the original seats, shifter (*note that this is OEM and period, but from another car), steering wheel, etc. This was originally a manual transmission car and it still has the clutch pedal mechanism to reconvert back to original. Seats are sun-baked but not ripped, nor do they exhibit spring-exposed damage. The best thing I can say about this car is the price. I am starting the bidding at $1199 USD. I do not have a reserve on this car, but you must arrange for transportation. I can deliver ±300 miles from El Paso on a weekend for $1.50 per loaded mile and $.10 per return mile. I have no keys and the steering wheel is locked. The car’s front wheels turn because I disconnected the pitman arm from the linkages to turn the wheels/load onto trailer. Cut a new key and bolt up the pitman arm and you’re in business again. I do not know what’s in the trunk or the glove box because they’re locked. You may find the title in there? It looks like the trunk has a fuel pump and a stereo amp (peep thru the rear speaker hole). Car has disc brakes in front.
The car was assembled in Norwood, OH and must have been in this part of the country all of its life. Please note: the car comes with roller wheels in the last picture, not the WELD DRAGLITE wheels pictured on the car now. If you want those wheels, we can talk about buying them separately.
This is a VIN-verified Formula 350 CID, manual transmission sports car, not an ESPRIT or base Firebird. Car has light filler in some areas and the sun has cracked it in places. For the price, you’re getting a great start.
If you pay all up front, you may use PayPal and arrange for transportation after funds clear. If you choose to pick it up or have me deliver it 300 miles, cash is OK afterwards with an upfront $500 deposit via PayPal.
