Car description

I started working on this car after it sat in someone's driveway for 2 years. I was using it as a daily driver, doing a 35 mile commute to work. I noticed it started losing oil pressure, and now has oil in the coolant. POSSIBLE HEAD GASKET LEAK! It does not overheat, but the oil is definitely mixing with the antifreeze. At idle (after it warms up), the oil pressure drops darn near to the red. At highway speeds, pressure is around the 30 psi mark (estimate).

There are several other things quirky about the car. Car does not always start with the ignition switch, so I added a starter button where the lighter used to be. I swapped out the steering wheel, because the original had warping leather. I still have the original GT wheel. The car has a new distributor, coil, starter, EGR valve, IAC, TPS. Tires are excellent. Trunk release does not work, and cruise control is not hooked up. A/C works just fine, as does the heat. I pulled the carpet back a bit in the trunk area, and it is clean and rust free. Pop-up lights work great, and I have new bulbs that I have not put in yet. Lights work, but on very rare occasions, the driver side light needs tapped to get it to work. Muffler has a huge hole in it that I covered and clamped with a sheet of galvanized steel. It does have an exhaust manifold leak, and previous owner said he was pretty sure there was a broken manifold bolt.

Interior is in good shape. The fabric of the seats are worn, and could use a good cleaning, but there are no tears and they are still very comfortable. I added a digital media player that fits the dash, rather than the aftermarket unit that stuck way out.

There may be a small leak in the braking system. When it sits for a while, I have to add fluid. Last year I bled the brakes and things were great. Keep that in mind.
This was my toy/project car. I started painting it a dark red last year before the snow hit. Original paint was shot. New paint is on very thing, mostly as a test and not a serious paint job. Car originally was originally plasti-dipped. I stripped that off, but it still needs general cleanup of all the little white bit. I replaced the cracked passenger side sail panel window. Of course, when I did, it was slightly high. And it was not coming off. Those of you who have used automotive grade double-sided tape will understand what I mean.

The car starts and drives. I wouldn't recommend driving it long distances. You could bring lots of oil and check it frequently if you absolutely wanted to try. Bring coolant, too.
Think of this car as a nice barn find that needs some work. I would recommend taking the top end apart and replacing the head gaskets. Idea candidate for an engine swap.
I'm selling because I also have an older Corvette that I am working on, and don't have the budget or time for both cars! Wife thinks I'm crazy for listing everything wrong with the car, but I want the buyer to know exactly what they are getting. Feel free to contact me for any additional details or photos you want. I have the physical, clean, Ohio title.
