Car description

$7,950 BUYS IT! I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION AT ANY TIME SINCE IT IS ADVERTISED LOCALLY FOR THAT PRICE. INTERNATIONAL AND OVERSEAS BUYERS WELCOME. PLEASE CALL ME AT (76O) 8O5-803eight WITH ANY QUESTIONS.
If you have ever thought of building a RestoMod GTO clone with modern performance and handling, this car would be perfect to build your dream Hot Rod. It would be killer with a nasty 455, an overdrive automatic or a six speed manual, huge four wheel disc brakes, big wheels and tires, or even an LS swap. It is a 1969 Pontiac LeMans Convertible. It is a lifelong California car that was sold new at Royal Pontiac (no relation to the Royal Bobcat dealership) in West Hollywood, CA in 69. I still have the original dealer brochure, business card, and owner's manual that are included in the sale. I also have a huge folder of receipts from over the years. The body is in excellent condition and is very straight. The doors shut with that nice thud that only cars that have never been blown apart have. It is pretty rust free with the only exceptions being some tiny bubbles on the hood and trunk lid. The floors, frame, and rockers are very nice. The trunk pan is excellent and still has the original splatter paint. There is a small section of the trunk pan about two inches long that could use repair. It is a strange spot and I have no idea how it got there. The rest of the pan and inside the quarters are excellent. It needs a trunk lock since the key is stuck in this one and WD40 doesn't seem to be doing the trick. The bumpers are nice. The paint peeled off of the hood when it was stored using a shower curtain for a car cover that baked onto the hood in the California sun. Yes, a shower curtain. And no, I did not do it. It was originally Verdoro Green but obviously it is going to need paint.
It has a black bucket seat interior with the factory center console and floor shifter. The upholstery is in very good condition except there is a tear on the very outside of the top half of the passenger seat. The rest of the passenger seat, the driver's seat, and the back seat are all nice. Original AM/FM radio, factory steering wheel, factory gauges. The dashpad has cracks in it under the dash cover. The doors panels are very nice. The tan convertible top is in great condition. It has a glass back window that is in good shape but needs to be re-glued at the top. It needs a glovebox latch. I have the black boot for the convertible top. I try to be as honest and thorough as possible up front so you are more than happy with your new classic.
It has a 350 cubic inch Pontiac V-8. It was stored for years and I have no idea of the condition of the engine. I have not tried to start it nor am I going to try. Any and all plans that I had for the car included throwing it away. You may be able to save it but I doubt it. It needs brakes. It has an automatic transmission but since I have never started it and never driven it, you can probably guess what I know about the condition of it. Nothing. All of this stuff was going to upgraded so I never cared about any of it. Cragar SS wheels. I also have all four original PMD hubcaps boxed up in excellent condition. Clear California title in hand.It is a project car but a very complete, very worthwhile project. Please be realistic with your expectations. Restore it, customize it, or just get it back on the road. You can go any direction you choose at this point. You see a Mustang or a Camaro at every show or cruise night. Once in a while you might even see a Firebird. When was the last time you saw a Lemans ragtop? I am located in Cardiff, CA in North County Coastal San Diego. Inspections in person are encouraged. TRY TO FIND ONE THIS CLEAN BACK EAST!
I can help with transportation either getting it loaded on a truck or assisting you however I can at the buyer's expense. Inspections are encouraged but must be completed before the end of the auction. $1000 non refundable deposit due at auction end and remaining balance due within three working days.
