What we have here is an incredible original 1 family owned 1972 Pontiac Le Mans Sport 2 Dr hardtop that is a true survivor with only 48856 documented original miles. The overall condition of this 1972 Pontiac Le Mans Sport is unbelievable and is one exceptional well preserved original automobile.
Purchased new August 24, 1972 by Margaret Dubois from Friendly Pontiac in Poughkeepsie, New York. It is very evident when Mrs. Dubois purchased this Le Mans Sport she wanted a very classy automobile and 48 years later this Le Mans Sport is still very classy. All documentation is complete from brand new including Protect-O-Plate, bill of sale, window sticker and much, much more.
Finished in the beautiful Brittany Beige with 95% of the paint being original and the paint shows very nice. The body is very straight with no dents or dings, no scratches and no rust. The original dark saddle interior is perfect and like new in every way, no cracks, no fading and no wear. The vinyl top is original, looks like new and beautiful. The weather stripping is all in excellent condition. All the chrome is in excellent condition. The factory Rally II wheels, trim rings and center caps are also in excellent condition. The undercarriage for a 48 year automobile is in incredible condition. Always kept in a controlled temperature environment and the undercarriage as well as the rest of this Le Mans Sport totally reflects how nice this Pontiac truly is.
The drive train has the 350 2 BBL V-8 engine complimented with the 3 speed turbo hydramatic transmission. Both perform perfectly with no issues and this automobile runs with great performance.
This is a very well optioned Le Mans Sport and a quite expensive automobile in 1972. All of the standard equipment along with all options work perfectly. The air conditioning blows ice cold and still has the original R-12 refrigerant.
