In 1980, Pontiac built 50,896 Trans AMs but of those just 5,700 Pontiac Special Edition Turbo Trans Am Indy 500 Pace Cars. This is 1 of 5,700 built in 1980
This Trans AM is powered by a 4.9-liter 301 turbocharged V-8, a 3.08:1 rear axle and limited slip differential and three-speed automatic Transmission. It has Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Air Conditioning and AM/FM Radio.
A complete set of special decals were installed on this car. The hood bird is larger than normal and made up of red, charcoal, and gray colors. There are large size set of decals installed on both doors denoting the cars Pace Car status. It has Silver tinted removable T-top hatch-roof panels and aluminum white "air-flow" wheels.
It only has 42,011 miles- This Trans Am would be a great addition to anyone’s collection
