Car description |
---|
1971 Trans Am 455 H/O RPO M22 Rock Crusher 4-Speed Transmission with a 383 Posi. All original car, numbers matching. This started life as a cameo white car with blue stripe. It was in rough shape when purchased but still wearing the white paint. The interior was changed out to beige at some point but it was mostly there. All parts that were missing were sought after until all were found.. Once found they were restored and assembled on the car. The car was taken all the way down and every nut and bolt were removed.. Everything was either replaced or miraculously restored to original. This T/A was completely restored by James Boyd at Road King Customs in GA and no corners were cut. All metal that needed to be replaced was cut out and replaced or replaced with new.. All damaged metal was repaired.. Every nut, bolt and panel was completely gone through top to bottom was painted back to factory specs. The restoration was completed in 2011 and less than 800 miles have been Put on the T/A since that time. The car lives it's life in a climate controlled garage with 2 other vintage Trans Am - See pictures (black 76 is for sale as well).
Over 1000 detailed pictures of the full restoration are available by request from start to finish. The T/A was taken back to all original with the exception of wheels and Hurst Shifter Knob. The original round port heads are not on the car but are bagged and boxed and will go with the car. The car is excellent from top to bottom and match factory specs from the painted bolts to color of fuel lines and clips.. Everything in excellent condition, paint is incredibly straight, interior/trunk new and perfect and underside as clean and detailed as the top. The motor was torn down to block and completely refreshed with new parts and gaskets back to factory specs. Only issue is small bubbling on the drivers side a-pillar (Will be fixed by James at Road King Customs before sale of car). The turned swirl silver dash inlay was not replaced because we were looking for an original and did not want to use the sticker replacement (easy fix if you want to use the tape replacement). Car is one of best examples of a 71 Trans Am in Cameo white with the blue stripe you will find! Too much information to list.. Please ask any questions you may have..
