This is a 1966 Pontiac 2+2. This car was purchased in about 2000 out of California by an Idaho new car dealership. They proceeded to do a complete body off frame restoration and completed it in 2004. It spent the next 11 years sitting on the showroom floor. In 2015 a gentleman from Rupert Idaho purchased it and put it in his temperature controlled garage. He kept it 4 years and put approximately 200 miles on it. I purchased it from him about 6 months ago and I've put about 100 to 200 miles on it. The drive train was totally gone through during the restoration as was the suspension and brakes. All the bright work was restored and all the glass appears new. The entire interior has been replaced with new reproduction items including seats, door panels, carpet, headliner and dash. The body was stripped, restored and repainted. THERE IS NO RUST IN THIS CAR. I have the PHS documentation on this car and it goes with the car. The motor is a correct coded "WG" 421. (421/4-barrel-manual transmission) To my knowledge it is the original motor. It currently has a correct 66 tri-power on it. The car is optioned nicely with Power Steering, Power Brakes, Head Rest Bucket Seats (very rare), console, factory tachometer, gauge package, wood wheel, and correct 8-lug wheels. The restorer installed after market gauges under the dash. I don't know why. It has 2 1/2" aluminized exhaust and headers. It also has what I believe to be flow master mufflers. It has a beautiful throaty sound. I also think it has a more performance cam than the original. This car performs extremely well and drives and handles very well. I believe it has a 342 rear but am not positive. I believe you could drive it any where. The reason I'm selling it is because I'm 75 years old and have more cars that I can take care of anymore. I'm trying to thin down my collection. I have a clear Texas title in my name. There is a reserve, but I feel that it is very reasonable. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I will assist in anyway I can. I encourage anyone interested to come and view the car in person. I live 35 miles south of Houston. You would fly into Houston Hobby. I'll be glad to pick you up at the airport, spend as much time with you at the car as you need and return you to the airport. If you would like to discuss the car with me, my name is Joe Evans and my phone number is 409-771-4239. Do not ask questions via email. If you are truly interested, call me. I appreciate your interest.
