Car description |
---|
On approximately January 7, 1966, a shiny Montero Red Pontiac GTO rolled off the line at Pontiac Assembly, on Baldwin Avenue, in Pontiac, MI. This 389 4 bbl Hardtop was destined for Thomas Pontiac in Parkersburg, WV.
Today, she still wears Montero Red paint, with less than 3K miles on her rebuilt numbers-matching engine. The engine was dyno'd shortly after, with the engine and rebuilt 4 bbl Carter AFB carburetor tuned for optimum performance.
This is a nice car... it looks good, and runs and drives great. It's not a trailer queen and there are some visible imperfections, but it turns heads wherever I go. It looks good enough that it won a 4-foot trophy in a local car show.
I encourage you to come see the car if you can. That way you can know exactly what you're getting before you bid. I don't want to oversell or undersell it, but I think it would be hard to be disappointed with this car as long as we have the same expectations.
Odometer reads just over 70K miles, which appears to be original but there is no documentation to support. Comes with PHS report. Car originally came with factory air conditioning, which is currently non-functioning.
$38,000 or best reasonable offer. Lowball offers will not be considered. Thanks for looking!
