Car description

1994 Pontiac Firehawk

#475 of 500Same owner last 21 years

Up for sale is 1994 Firehawk #475 of 500. Same owner since March 1998. 166k miles. Car is green with gray leather interior. Car is mostly stock, does have a few bolt-ons:

K&N filter

Tubular rear LCA

Underdrive pulley

Strut Tower Brace shown in pictures HAS BEEN REMOVED

Lowering springs

Custom throttle body plate

Car is not perfect, buyer should be aware that the car needs the following:

A/C needs charged

Needs new battery. Bring your own or I can temporarily install one to start car so it can be driven onto trailer.

Leaking pinion seal

Tires are worn

Headliner is sagging in spots.

Moderate wear on driver's seat bolster, slight wear on pass seat bolster

Antenna broke off

Front bumper split near bottom from hitting animal in road

Driver's fender has crack/scuff from a gate hitting it

Dent in driver's rear fender from wife backing it into garage door

Paint has various scuffs/scrapes/chips from the past 25 years of driving. These do not all show up in the photos.

Needs a buff/polish. Car was washed for pictures, no paint correction was done.

Some clear coat flaking from wheels.

BIGGEST ISSUE:

Car starts right up, but idle eventually becomes erratic and engine wants to stall. Engine also bogs off-idle. The engine does not overheat, oil and fuel pressure remain steady. I do not know what is causing this issue. Plugs, wires, and optispark are 20+ years old now. Tune-up is likely in order.

There are no dash lights or warnings. Car starts right up. Oil pressure is solid. Fuel pressure is solid. No smoke from exhaust or funny engine noises. Both headlights work, brass gears were installed in place of the plastic gears. Window motors were replaced. No rot in the floors or rockers. Has the "Two-on-the-left" (TOTL) exhaust. The original SLP muffler came apart at the seams so it was replaced with an identical sized Magnaflow with 2 new SLP pipes and sounds great with a nice low rumble.

Car is by no means perfect but is still a solid car. Looks nice from 10' away. This car was my pride and joy for many years. Took it to the Pontiac Nationals/Firehawk Rally in Norwalk many times. Have a trophy or two from placing in the car show. However, after 20 years it's time to move on. I have tried to describe this car as accurately as possible. Please contact me with any questions prior to making a bid. I encourage you to come inspect the car prior to making a bid, or have an independent 3rd party inspection done. Vehicle is being sold "As is" with no warranty stated or implied.
