Car description

1958 Pontiac Parisienne Sport Coupe

This rare Canadian model Parisienne had an older extensive restoration.

It is equipped with the original, numbers matching 348 4-barrel V8 Chevy engine, rebuilt cast iron 2-speed PowerGlide automatic transmission, and a standard rear end. It also includes power steering, aftermarket front disc brakes with dual master cylinder, dual exhaust, fairly new radial white wall tires, and a set of NOS backup lights.

The paint is Redwood Copper and Dover White. Other than minor nicks and scratches, the paint shows very well. The body, chrome bumpers, and all stainless are in excellent condition. There are blemishes by the right (size of a quarter) and left (dime size) rear roof drip rails. There's also a scratch on the hood, a chip in the driver side fender, and a chip on the driver side door edge. All the glass appears to be intact, however there is a stone mark on the lower left of the windshield.

The interior shows very nicely. The front and rear seat covers were redone in 2016. The rest of the upholstery, headliner, and carpet are vibrant and free of rips, tears, and major wear. All stainless is excellent. All the gauges, the radio, and the power antenna work. The original padded dash has some lumping.

The floors, body braces, and trunk appear to be solid. The undercarriage was completely redone and undercoated with new brake and gas lines. The trunk is rust free and comes with original spare tire and jack. It appears that the trunk floor has a professionally installed repair panel.

This car comes with an extensive amount of paperwork: The original user's guide, maintenance manual, parts manual, promotional materials, and a stack of restoration and maintenance receipts.
