A rare 1980 Indy Pace car....only year a car was chosen for Indy and Daytona. Car has been in storage for many years. This year it has been repainted, new decals, new radiator, alternator, rebuilt carb, new t top seals, new door seals, window felts, new window switch, new fan clutch, new starter, new speedometer cable, new blue tooth radio (have original) . Interior is very nice with minimum wear. (pass seat has one small hole)
Car runs and drives .... Ac is charged but low speed switch out and blows in floor. Cruise control is broken and does not work, power antennae does not work but probably will (newer radio mite not work it) Tires are white letter and look new but receipt shows 12 years old (would replace) Earlier owner went crazy with Firebird badges...it has like 4 more than needs...I removed a couple but interior ones im afraid will tear up interior to remove. ( mite be hiding a bad spot...do not know)Car runs pretty good for original and age. It is not restored....shows only 78,000 miles but still 35 years old.I do drive here local. It probably will drive anywhere but does need tires to be safest.
I am looking at another car so letting this one go....it has a heavy head start on being a very nice $30k car.
I also am letting my Pace car collection go with it. Framed spec sheets, ads, new satin VERY RARE jacket XL, trading card, whisky container (sorry empty)....also a magazine with lots of Pace car ads that was given at the original race to spectators .
I am pretty firm on price....feel free to make an offer. If its too low its easy to delete it. . Car is local for sale and will pull ad no warning if sells (thats why a buy it now) You are welcome to come see car. Shipping anywhere in US about $1000 bucks. Once car paid for it can stay until picked up no charge. No warranty, no guarantees...its 40 years old. Its not restored and not perfect...it has had and will have problems. (Every time I drive I have fixed stuff...it should be close to problem free )You can hit the key and go cross country but dont expect it to be like your new car. I try to describe good and bad best I can. My opinion and yours mite differ...have added extra large pics and once again come look if want. I am not a dealer to float your ego and not tell you things just for a sale. Clear Texas title in my name...car has new tags...plate stays with me (Antique not transferable)....but I went and got a paper tag for you to drive home if want.
