Car description |

I am selling my 1950 Pontiac 2 door sedan. It is a very original car in driver quality condition, reliable and fun car to drive.
The car has the original drivetrain; 268ci straight eight cylinder engine with 108 hp and a Hydro-matic transmission. The engine pulls strongly through the gears and never any smoke out of the tailpipe and there is no miss from the engine. It has the original braking system; 4 wheel drum brakes. The car steers very well with period correct wide whites tires. All gauges and lights work. The electrical system has never been modified and runs on the original 6V system.
There is no rust at all on this car. The suspension is in good order with all the zerk type suspensions points recently lubed. The original drive line and rear end works as designed. The trunk has no signs of rust and has a full size spare.
Recently I've done quite a bit of mechanical work making the car a reliable driver.
This car has never been re-painted and shows numerous scratches and blemishes. Where the paint is not worn the paint is quite lustrous. All the chrome is original from the factory in 1950 and is quite bright but does show wear; no pitting, peeling, or rusting. The stainless strips are in excellent shape.
If you want an affordable classic representing a great piece of history this is the car for you. You do not need an array of electronic gadgets or special tools to work on it and the car is constantly admired by many folks. I don't want to sell her and maintaining its originality has been my goal, but it's time for someone to take this car to the next level.
Thanks for your interest.
