Up for sale is one gorgeous 1972 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am (real Trans Am with PHS documents) with 82,xxx original miles and a NOM 455 V8 and a Tremec 5 speed. Painted in its factory color Cameo White with blue stripes. This Trans Am is laser straight and 100% rust free. Take a look at the shaker hood and Firebird emblem, doesn't it take you back? Sold brand new right down the street from here at Fairfields Motors INC in Keene NH and only used in summer months. Only 1,276 Trans Am's were produced in 1972 and you are looking at 1 of those 1,276 Trans Am's. This is a beautiful Trans Am with NO rust NO blisters and NO issues. This is a metal car and NOT a bondo bucket. It has always been a beautiful rust free car to start with and still wears all its original, factory sheet metal. It is equipped with power disk brakes and power steering. Every thing works as it should (blinkers, horn, emergency brake and so on, volt meter may have a lose connection as it comes on when you are driving). Paint and body is in BEAUTIFUL shape, very vibrant and deep, laid nice and flat with no orange peel. No stone chips, scratches or dings. The nose does have a few very minor hairline cracks (see video). The body is laser straight and the gaps are very nice. NO scratches and NO dings. There is absolutely NO rust, rot or paint blisters on the car. The underneath is as clean as the body, rock solid and containing all its original floors and rockers. The chrome and stainless is all in excellent shape. The engine bay is very nice and detailed and presents extremely well. The trunk is also very clean with a nice GM spatter. The glass is all very nice, no scratches or hazing, goes up and down with no issues. This car is an absolute beast. When you fire it up and drive it down the road, it sounds like Saturday night at the drags, it sounds MEAN! This Trans Am is an absolute rocket! The motor was completely rebuilt during the restoration years back and has limited miles on it since. The motor is super healthy, fires right up, idles perfect, runs cool (165 degrees even on the hottest days, electric fans work great) and has great oil pressure. No smoke and no weird noises. This motor produces some serious power and moves this Trans Am along VERY nicely. AGAIN, THIS CAR SOUNDS AMAZING AND DRIVES LIKE NEW! The carburetor is a vintage Holley 800 CFM double pumper with mechanical secondaries. The carburetor was completely striped, rebuilt to stock specs and then zinc plated, its like new. This is the carburetor you would have upgraded to back in the 70s. When the secondaries open up along with the intake flapper hold on, you are going for a ride! The Tremec transmission has a great grabbing point and no slipping, the gear box is extremely tight with a nice throw and is new as of a few years ago. This car is an absolute delight to drive! The interior is in excellent shape, no major issues. Beautiful upholstery and believe it or not it is mostly original! There is a small crack on the dash but a brand new dash pad is included with the sale. I would call the interior a 9.5 out of a 10. The car has been gone through from front to back and needs nothing, it is 100% ready to go to a new home and enjoyed. If full price is paid I will also include brand new UMI rear leaf springs and front springs to drop the rear 2 inches and the front 1 inch. The stance will make this car look amazing! This car runs and drives beautiful and again, its an absolute blast to drive. It floats down the road so nice and if you mash the gas pedal, HOLD ON! Great cruise night car or for winning trophies at your local car shows. Super tight car, goes straight down the road, no rattles or shimmy's and it will brake straight without pulling side to side. No vibrations just a crazy fast and powerful Trans Am. I'm a classic car dealer and this car is out of my personal collection, I love this car but its time for a new home to be enjoyed. I stay busy and just don't get to drive it as much as I would like. The car has a 10 bolt rear end with nice cruising gears. Tires and the wheels are in great shape. Finding a 72 Trans Am in this condition, color and drive train is hard to find at this price. Limited production makes these cars extremely collectible, not to mention how beautiful they are. Don't miss out on this gorgeous iconic muscle car classic! 207-400-5326
