Car description |
---|
1974 Super Duty Trans Am - Buccaneer red SD 455 Trans Am with special numbers matching engine. It is 1 of 731 built with turbo 400 automatic transmission (212 4 speeds were produced). It is a code 200 car which means it has the rarely seen red/black interior (possibly the only SD 455 with this option). The PHS documented and it is listed on the SD Registry. The car is optioned with air conditioning, power brakes, power steering, 8 track, tilt steering, power locks and power windows. The interior is exceptionally clean and in show condition. All gauges, A/C (blows cold), power options and 8 track work as new.
The car was used in Episode 5 of the Discovery Channel's show "Trans Am." I have the contract and video that go with the documentation and original build sheet on the car.
Originally sold at the famous Monk King Pontiac in Denton, Texas. The car has its original Super Duty 2 1/2 inch oval exhaust complete to the original tail pipes in excellent condition. Exceptionally restored including new paint, interior, suspension bushings, ball joints, tie rods, shocks replaced, car is immaculate and drives as new. SD engine was repainted during restoration and all seals and gaskets were replaced at that time (BOP neoprene rear main seal). New fuel pump, water pump, alternator, heater core, hoses and belts installed. No internal engine components needed repair or replacement. The bottom of the car has the original Pontiac factory primer and paint (see pics), never undercoated or modified. Exceptional car that drives as new. Always stored inside in a private collection for the past 30+ years. Call or text with any questions 210-722-4188.
