You are bidding on a REAL DEAL (22687) 1970 Firebird Formula 400....(one of 7700 built)

I believe all engine components are original and numbers matching....with possibleexception of alternator and starter.

For the record.... 350 hp 400cubic inch(10:1 CR)...was the standard (base) engine...in this model...and ONLY year for high compression 400motor,....12 bolt rear axle and lowback seats....in a 2nd generation bird...

Not many of these left...especially LOADED ones....that haven't been messed with...

Car is very complete and original.....engine runs well...but is tired...and should be rebuilt.....Original seat belts are missing....Currently has non matching front lap belts only...

Runs, drives, starts, stops and steers....Posi WORKS...But the back half isVERY rusty......Front floors, trunk floor, rear frame rails and rear valance...ALL need work...

It can be fixed...but I would prolly back-half it......if I kept it.

If you have a 70 Trans am missing it's drive train...this is an AWESOME parts car...with everything you need...including Ralley Gauges....and dash harness...

Ok...if you've gotten this far......I had a closer look underneath....

Drivers front floor pan needs replaced.....Both rear frame rails will need repair at the front end where they normally go...

Trunk pan is there but soft.....rear lower valance and rear quarters need replacement

Front fenders and trunk lid are useable.......Doors could be fixed...but I would replace..

Front corners of dash below windshield pillar are not rotted.

This will be my third re-list.....Had many lowball offers....but will NOT sell....unless we get close to asking price......I will dismantle....and sell parts before I give it away...
