You are viewing an absolutely gorgeous real 1965 Fontaine Blue GTO (proved by undisputable PHS documents). I don't want to use the word "perfect" but this car is as close as it gets. Always a garage kept and pampered southern car.
The motor is the original numbers matching motor, rebuilt with a little bigger cam, Tri-power carbs (matching carbs w/ tags). The car starts immediately with a bump of the key and settles into idle. With the cam and Flowmaster true dual exhaust, this car sounds incredible! Original transmission has been upgraded to a brand new GM Tremec TKO 6005 speed. This car runs amazing and is very fast! 308 Safe T Trac rear. All new correct wiring harnesses throughout.
The body is all original and never any rust. Absolutely straight as an arrow body and recently painted in its original color of Fontaine Blue base/clear, color sanded and buffed to a mirror like perfection. The chrome, grille, glass, all excellent. New weather stripping and stops replaced.
The interior is all new including headliner, seat upholstery, door panels and rug. Dash and all interior metal trim has been correctly refinished, the chrome on the seats, dash & console is like new. The originalPontiac faux wood steering wheel is mint. Rally dash includes tach and gauges (no gauges hanging under the dash here).Everything, including the radio works as it should. Rare factory A/C blows ice cold.
The suspension has been upgraded with quality Hotchkiss parts, Original sport suspension car, new front and rear swaybars and newCorvette 4 wheel Disc brakes! New set of US Mags 18x8 rear and 18x7 front with a new set of Uniroyal Tiger Paw radials. I will get the car on a lift and post pics ASAP (looks as nice as the rest of the car).
This is a gorgeous example of a 65' GTO, it is NOT a thrown together car.I have a ten year old appraisal (before the refresh) and the car was valued at $58,000 then. It is ready to drive and enjoy, nothing needed. Other than the trans, wheels, brakesand the Hotchkiss parts, the car is all original. To me, these are definitely upgrades and make the car safer and much more fun to drive.

I can store inside for up to 30 days free (once paid), and can help arrange shipping at buyers expense.
