1970 Pontiac Formula 400 Firebird 4-speed all numbers matching running and driving project. Only 7708 Formula Firebirds built in 1970. All original except OEM GM Trans AM hood and shaker setup down to the wheels and spare tire and jack. Car was sitting since 1987 off the road for 31 years! Has 54,487 original miles. Almost laser straight body with just a few minor dings never in an accident absolutely no body filler anywhere. Front lower valance has a decent size dent easily worked out. Nose piece is weathered from California heat but there are no cracks in it could be saved fits very nicely to the car. Only very minor surface rust from sitting will easily clean up with 220 grit DA paper. Absolutely no rust in floors or trunk floor. Only through rust is a few small holes on right rear quarter panel and one spot on left front corner of dash. Original dash pad has absolutely no cracks! Original deluxe interior with correct one year only front bucket seats and deluxe door panels. Car is wearing its original Paladian silver paint on all original sheetmetal never repainted ever or in any accidents. Car currently runs and drives but engine has excessive blow by due to a broken oil control ring from sitting for 31 years could probably get away with a hone and rering without a complete rebuild if desired. Has original #s matching 400 330 HP 10.25 to 1 4-barrel engine, #s matching M-20 wide ratio transmissio, and #s matching 12 bolt rear axle. Has original transverse GM muffler exhaust system still in great condition. Gas tank was removed hot tanked and sealed with new sending unit installed. New fuel pump, quadrajet carb, alternator, recored original radiator, new clutch fan. All new complete brake system master cylinder, wheel cylinders, calipers, shoes, pads, brake hardware, turned drums, and rotors. All gauges work including tachometer, all lights except turn signals work including the dome light. Car is currently registered and tagged in my name I have PHS documentation was original Van Nuys built car sold at a San Jose dealership.
