Car description

Summer may be drawing to an end, but that means that fall is just around the corner. And what better kind of car is there to head out and enjoy the fall colors in than a really cool 1970s convertible? This beautiful and comfortable '70s cruiser is a really neat find and could be yours. Come on down and check it out. The Grand Ville was the top of the line Pontiac in '73. It focused on offering plenty of room with plenty of luxury. It was also the only full-sized convertible offering from Pontiac in the late seventies, but demand was low, so it is also rare with production never topping 5000 per year. Red and White has always been a great color combination for a convertible and this luxury cruiser offers acres of both. The paint shines brightly reflecting lights off its long lines and gentle curves. Up front a massive chrome bumper leads the way underlining a split grill with a Pontiac Arrow in the center. The hood extends out over the center of the grill and there are dual headlights on each side. A thin line of body side molding runs front to rear and chrome dresses out the rocker panels. Wheel spats dress out the rear fender wells and bold, three bar taillights are underlined by another sharp looking bumper with a couple chrome exhaust tips peeking out from underneath it at the rear. Open that single, very long door, and you will find an interior as comfortable as your living room at home. The door panel itself is dressed in white, trimmed with delicate chrome piping, with a sculpted brown panel surrounding the door pull and power window and lock switches at your fingertips. The power front seat is luxuriously upholstered with a white button tufted back and a pleated bottom. The couch, I mean seat, in the back is just as impressive, and they both have a crest embossed in the center of them. There is a three spoke steering wheel mounted on a tilt column with cruise control. The dash board is a wood grained affair with the speedometer and gauge cluster in the center, the power roof switch along with the wipers and lights on the left, and radio and ventilation controls, including those for the A/C on the right. When the roof is down there is a nice matching white boot to cover it with. Underneath the hood you will find the original and powerful 455 cubic inch engine nicely dressed out and nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay. It runs strong and can motivate this big car down the road in a hurry if you ask it to. A stock black air filter assembly with a sticker announcing the big block engine sits on top of the only modification to this motor. The stock 4-barrel carburetor has been upgraded to an Edelbrock unit and the car starts right up and idles smoothly with it. The intake along with the rest of the engine is painted in the correct Pontiac blue and there is a new brake master cylinder. Power flows back through a 3-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels and dual thrush mufflers lend a bit of a nice sound to this big block brute. The rubber meets the road through 235/75R15 white wall tires mounted on Rally wheels at all four corners. This is a big, beautiful, and comfortable '70s convertible that's ready for some fall foliage driving. Don't wait too long to come down and check it out, the leaves will be changing soon.
