1968 Pontiac Tempest

1968 Tempest 2 Door Post Car

Frame off restoration w/ 2 hours of break in time on motor. Video of car running available upon request. Engine and Trans are not numbers matching. Not built for show but as a street worthy musclecar.

Recently installed:

Alum. Radiator, dual electric fans, fan harness and controller. New hood tach. Billet under drive pulley set. Master cyl, P/S pump and lines. Complete Pypes 2.5” stainless exhaust system. Carter fuel pump and braided fuel lines. Battery, cables, belts, lines and hoses. New tilt steering column.

Motor: (Built by Hunter Engine)

Built '75 Pontiac 400 with ram air cam and lifters, Pypes ram air manifolds, Demon carb, HEI dist. and Accel wires, R/M wire seperators, Powermaster alt. & high torque starter. Edelbrock chrome pan, valve covers. Speed Cooling Alum. Radiator and dual electric fans w/ controller. Billet under drive pulleys, Billet alt and p/s brackets.

Drivetrain & Suspension:

Rebuilt TH400 transmission. Spohn performance driveshaft. New front disc conversion, new brakelines, pads, tie rod ends. Chrome moly sway bar kit with trailing arms and frame braces.

New stainless gas tan, gaslines and sending unit. Cragar 15x8 eliminators with Cooper 255/60/15's

Body:

Frame, underside and susp. Blasted, painted and undercoated. Engine bay was also blasted and painted. New GTO style steel ram air hood with hood tach. Fiberglass front GTO endura style bumper with new hidaway headlight assemblies. Comes with complete body bolt and hardware kit.

Has all new M/H wiring harnesses throughout.

Needs to finish:

Weatherstrip and seals. Headlight door actuators. Windshield. Front grilles, Rear bumper. Most of the interior, (I have the rear seat and a complete interior bolt and fastener kit for it along with the gauges and dash panels. Also have the door, post and rear windows,and hardware.
