Up For Sale Today, is my 1974 Pontiac Ventura GTO Dragster
This car started life as a 1974 Pontiac Ventra GTO, it has been transformed into a drive-able, plate-able drag car.
This car is currently setup to run on High Octane Racing Fuel not your typical gasoline, through a 5 gallon fuel tank mounted in the trunk. This car has a NOS kit also mounted in the trunk. As well as 2 extra NOS Tanks (one is full) ( Car Comes with Rear Hoosier Drag Slicks as well as rear normal street tires.
This Car was my Labor of love for the past 10 years and I have a binder full of the documentation, manuals, and receipts documenting all the equipment and thousands of dollars I have in the car. I am selling the car, because I am moving away from racing into Corvettes.
This car started life as a 1974 Pontiac Ventra GTO, it has been transformed into a drive-able, plate-able drag car.
- This GTO has a Big Block 454 in it, that has been fully rebuilt,
- Torque converter is Brand New on the car,
- the Transmission has been rebuilt as well and has about 50 miles on it.
- Car has a roll bar,
- New electric MSD 7 wiring system, where every component has been wired to a switch.
- Burnout revlimiter switch
- NOS Full throttle conrtol switch
- The car is a Manual, and has an aftermarket shifter on the floor.
- All bearing has been replaced.
- Heavy-Duty U-joints & Drive shaft
- Heavy-duty Oil Pump
- Lumpy Cam
- Large capacity coils
- Crank Trigger
- striaght axle
- 4:10 Rear end
- All lights currently work.
- The Front Suspension is from a 1981 Camaro
- It has a power steering from a Mazada.
- I have many other pieces of this car that will be included with it.
- The GTO ran 549 HP gas on the Dyno
- Ran 950-1000hp with NOS at the rear tires.
