Car description |

Here is your chance to own a truly awesome survivor with a fantastic story.
This is a 1959 Pontiac Catalina Vista Hardtop. Commonly referred to as a flat top, there is no pillar between the front and rear windows. That, along with the expansive rear window, add a feeling of openness not experienced with other cars.
Beautiful styling for the first year of the Wide Trac Pontiacs.
This car was originally purchased by a convent in Boulder, Colorado. The convent owned the car until 1986 when it was sold to a gentleman in Longmont, Colorado. This person had the transmission rebuilt and then basically never drove it. At some point he sold it to a friend of his. This is the person I bought it from. It had 45,000 miles on it at that point.
Since that time I have added the 8 lug wheels, air ride suspension, new exhaust, new tires, and many other items that wear with age such as fuel, ignition and brake items.
This car runs awesome. Starts right up every time. I have put just over 10,000 miles on it in the last 5 years.
It has made several trips from Colorado to the Goodguys show in DesMoines, Iowa, down to the southeast corner of Colorado and three trips to Alamosa, Colorado. I have no problem or worries about getting in and going anywhere.
The car rides great and handles well.
Here are the detail on this awesome car:
389 ci 2bbl
Hydramatic automatic transmission
Power steering
Power brakes

Air ride suspension
Hard to find "level air" emblem
All glass is good
All windows, doors, trunk and hood open and close like new
Rubber floor covering with period floor mats
All gauges work
Upholstery in fantastic shape with only two small wear spots where the driver sits (see pics)
Door panels are awesome
Only rust is in the lower front fenders and the body mounts at the front of the trunk (show me a Pontiac of this vintage that doesn't)
