This is a real GTO with the 242 Vin Code as well as the PHS Docs. It has a lot going for it with the Drop Top along with the ’66 model 389 Tri Power. Steering. Brakes. and Air. This car is also done in the factory color Scheme with the Cameo Ivory that is accented by the Blue Top and Blue interior. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior. interior. and driveline of the Pontiac. but first we would like to tell you a little about us. Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned. operated. and own our entire inventory. no consignments. and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. When you look down the sides it has great lines with good gaps. The panels are straight as an arrow. Everything is covered in Cameo Ivory. the factory color. which has a good shine and shows well. It is accented by the Blue Top and pin stripping. The stainless looks good and the bumpers appear to have been either replaced ore rechromed. The rest of the Chrome looks good as well as all the glass. As for the window seals and weather stripping it also looks good. The final exterior touch is the set of Blue Wall Tires Mounted on a set of Factory Rallye Wheels. Next. we will take a look at the interior of the Convertible. Everything on the inside is done in Blue. the factory color. which is an excellent complement to the exterior. It has the correct seats and console. A set of aftermarket gauges were added under the dash and a tach was added to the console. Also a CD player was added. It retains the factory seat belts and wood grain dash. It appear the seat covers and carpet was replaced at the time of the resto. The top is Power and comes with the Blue boot. Finally we will take a look at the driveline of the Pontiac. Under the hood it has a ’66 Model 389 that has the Tri Power Set Up 3x2’s. It’s mated to the 350 Turbo Trans with the stock 10 Bolt Rear End. The engine retains the stock manifolds and dual exhaust. It comes with Power Steering and Power Brakes. As we said it is a factory AC car that is all there and works. The floor in this GTO are great and super solid with what looks to be the factory pans. Also the Frame looks good with no signs of any damage. This is a True GTO with the 242 Vin.
