This is a beautiful 1957 Pontiac Star Chief convertible. Rare car that doesn't come up for sale often.
The car was restored in the 1998 by Vintage Car of Fort Mill South Carolina. It has only been driven a few thousand miles in the 20 years since! In 2009 it was retrofitted with power front disc brakes by Klassic Rides, LLC of Denver, North Carolina. At that time, some tuning was done including a rebuild of the carb and miscellaneous system. The front disc brake kit included a dual master cylinder and a "hydrovac" system. The Hydrovac system uses a remote vacuum booster. It was a deal installed option back in the day.
The exterior paint is beautiful and a stock color. It is white, but officially it is a Pontiac color of "Sheffield Grey". The interior color is "Chateau Grey" and is in excellent condition. The exterior red spear paint was requested by a previous owner during the restoration. It makes for an unusual red/white/blue combo. The white convertible top is in excellent condition. Power top works perfect.
The car has the previously mentioned aftermarket power disc brakes and manual steering. The radio is the stock AM however it was converted to AM/FM. There was also a power antenna installed in the stock passenger front fender location.
The motor is the stock 347 four barrel with just a few thousand miles since restoration. It runs smooth and the four speed hydramatic transmission shifts perfect. I have hundreds of pictures of restoration work done as well as receipts for the work.
This is a very nice rare car. It is located in northern California.
Feel free to contact me through ebay for any further information.
