For your review is a 1980 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am Indy Pace Car Edition.
I purchased this car a few months ago with the intent of putting a new paint job on it and enjoying the car with the t-tops off cruising around. Unfortunately I have too many projects and not near enough time to give this car the attention it deserves. I won't bore you with the standard production numbers and fluf about the car, but here is some information in a short review. If you would like to do more research on how rear this car is there are dozens of websites and articles on line regarding this specific model. As always feel free to ask questions or request additional photos.

The NegativesThis car has not been on the road for years. It appears to have had some paint work done on the drivers side front fender and door. There are a few areas where the paint has chipped off in those two areas. The interior door handles have aftermarket plastic covers on them, which indicates they are pulling from the door panel as most do from this era. The transmission has a front seal leak. The original stereo has been replaced and the power antenna will need to be replaced. There is some rust at the bottom of the passenger side fender. This is really common with AC cars, but it will require attention during body work. Please see the last photo.
The PositivesThis car is all there. Included are t-top cases and the entire car is in overall good condition. It starts easily and I did drive the car a few blocks on July 4th. While I can’t confirm the mileage on the car due to age based on the overall condition I would think the 60,425 miles showing on the odometer to be pretty accurate. The exhaust appears to be original which would also indicate the mileage is lower than what I have listed.
This is a No Reserve Auction. I will not end the auction early.
