I have a 1981 Pontiac Firebird Daytona 500 pace car it is one of only 2,000 made. It has black and red Recaro interior. The headliner is falling in the back! The interior will need some attention as its original to 1981 and has been setting a long time. 1981 waa the only year this interior was available. This is a very rare car. The only thing not original is the engine it has been changed out to i believea 400 Pontiac instead of the original 301 Turbo. The body is very solid with minimal rest mostly just surface rust. There's just a little bit of rust on the right front fender that would need patched. A little bit of surface rust just where the paint was peeling but nothing rusted through. Underneath is also very solid floor pan and trunk pan wise. I have driven the car twice and the starter went out i believe. It will start you just have to bump the key a coupletimes. It had set for a long time before i bought it so before we put marvel mystery oil in the cylinder before we tried to start it. it will start but it runs rough and smokes though. Probably due to the fact the gas is 30 years old and we put oil in the cylinders. Worst case scenarioyou may have to rings in it or valve seals. It has a full 3 in dual exhaust and sounds very good. The glove box has also been signed by Richard Petty which he was the 1981 Daytona 500 winner. The only major downfall to the body is the left rear quarter panel is dented from the wheel coming off. that is the only major issues with a car body wise. You could probably drive this car home if you wanted to I would recommend a trailer just for the fact that the brakes are not the greatest they probably just need bled it has been sitting for years. whenever I drove it it was smoking from the exhaust but I believe it is just from setting all the years. If you want more pictures just ask and tell me what of!I am selling this car AS-IS. You are more than welcome to come see it before you bid or have a professional opinion as i don'tmuch about it. Full payment is required within 7 days of Auction End Date. $1000 deposit at the end of auction time unless agreed upon by both parties other wise!If you have any urgent question call or text 7655207910
