Beautiful Restoration

PHS Documentation

When it comes to iconic muscle cars, the Pontiac GTO is among the best. This beautiful example showcases just how special the1965 GTO was. It presents in its original colors of Blue Mist Slate paint and Blue interior. The finish is fantastic and is free from blemishes. The body is equally impressive with straight lines and factory gaps. The chrome and brightwork have been treated to rechroming and polishing. The medium blue interior offers Bucket Seats, Wood Grain Steering Wheel, Center Console, Hurst 4 Speed Floor Shifter, Rear Window Defogger, Remote Outside Mirror, Vanity Mirror, Retractable Seat Belts, Under Hood Light, Trunk Light and AM/FM Radio. The car is also equipped with Power Steering, Power Brakes and a close ratio steering box was added. The instruments work perfectly and are augmented by a pair of auxiliary gauges mounted beneath the dash. The seats, door panels and dashboard are all restored and look great. Under the hood it has a specially prepared WS code 389ci V8 with 3 two barrel carburetors. This engine was built by Milt Shornak (Former Royal Pontiac mechanic and drag car driver). Upon first glance, it appears to be factory stock but turn the key and you'll quickly find it actually has 456 screaming horse power. (Casting #9778789, Date Code D146) Combine that with a 4 speed muncie manual transmission and a 3.55:1 Safe-T-Track (Posi) rear end. Then lastly, it puts the power to the ground with an original set of Hurst Performance Wheels.

This is a real-deal GTO with PHS documentation. The car has only accumulated 6600 miles since its restoration. It runs, drives and handles great. With the power, style, options and presentation, this is one outrageous GTO.
