1957 Pontiac

Description

Very nice 1957 Pontiac Super Chief. 347 V8 AT. Runs and drives great. Just drove it 240 miles at 75MPH no problem. All gauges work except the fuel gauge. It moves but its stuck towards the lower end. I just repaired another 57 Pontiac sending unit and it was just gummed up. Cleaned it with carb cleaner and it was fine. I believe this is the same issue. Manual brakes and steering. Good radial tires. Exhaust is quite. Brakes are good. ALL lights work including turn signals and all interior lights. Backup lights work as do the license plate lights. Horn and vacuum wipers work great. Its believed to be a 33,000 mile car.
The interior is near perfect except the drives seat does have separation were you sit. There is also a minor stain in the headliner. Does have the Pontiac passenger side visor mirror. The dash is amazing. The trim is near perfect. Clean and bright. The car does have new carpet and door weather strip. Very little wind noise.
All glass is good except the drivers door does have a minor crack in the lower front corner.
The chrome is amazing. The rear bumper caps are perfect which is extremely hard to find if your a 57 Pontiac guy you know this is a big deal. Very expensive parts. The front grill does have a ding as does the front bumper. Please note this. The rear bumper is as good as it gets.

The body is amazing. It does have one repaint. I did find a small amount of rust in the drivers side floor and the first brace on the passenger side rocker extending to the floor near kick panel. Very common so make sure you ask about this with any other late 50's GM you see. Most people wont tell you about this. I have photos to show you. The rest of the body is rust free. The paint is very nice but does show age on the top of the vehicle. Not sure what you call it but I call it "checking" like micro cracks. It still looks amazing and a beautiful color combination.
