Car description

Up for auction is a 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix Model J with a 455 v8, th400 trans and 12 bolt open rear axle. The vehicle has been restored to the condition as you see in the pictures to include all body and paint done in base coat clear coat to the original color. The bumpers have been rechromed and the trim polished. New vinyl top installed as well as all the weather stripping has been replaced. The interior is all new with new carpet, headliner, seat covers and cushions, door panels refinished, new package shelf as well as all new weatherstripping. The engine was gone through and runs like a new motor. The engine compartment was fully detailed with all parts painted and the fender wells as well as the radiator support powder coated black. The list of new parts under hood is endless. The radiator, starter, distributor, water pump, power steering pump, hoses were all replaced as well as the ac compressor so now the air blows cold. The level of detail on the restoration is very good to excellent. The suspension and brakes were gone through as well. The wheels are American racing torque thrusts with good tires and a nice stance. I have the original 14 inch rally wheels with trim rings and center caps to go with the car. I have owned the car for over 10 years and am the second owner. It drives like new. I have over 200 pics of the restoration as documentation. I also have a rear sway bar and boxed lower control arms that go with the car but I never got the chance to refinish and install. I did update the ignition system with an HEI set up. The carb was also rebuilt and the master cylinder was replaced. I installed a new battery yesterday. I am selling the car because I have too many cars and it just does not get driven and enjoyed but merely sits in the garage under a cover. Feel free to ask any questions.
