1969 Pontiac GTO
I am selling my GTO that's been super reliable and always a head turner. We have taken it to car shows once a month and to date have never see another 69 GTO.
It'sstriking metallic green paint make it hard to miss. The stripes onthe car are Plasti-Dip, so can be removed with easy at anytime. In addition, the front and back bumpers and kick panels under the doorshave also been Plasti-Dipped, under which is Chrome. I like the meaner blacked out look, but it can also be easily peeled off by the new owner.
I wouldn't hesitate driving this anywhere. The tires are in good shape as well. The car is overall very solid and drives well. There are some bubbles in the paint in a few spots. The only ones I can think of are on the rear lower trunk lid. There is also a small ding on the passenger side door where the lawn guy wasn't very careful with his equipment (see pic).
According to the PHS documents (see pics), this car was born as a fairly rare RamAir III with a standard tranny. At some point in it's life, the engine and tranny were replaced. It now has a 350 and automatictransmission. It appears when the transformation was done, some of the wiring under the dash was not put back fully. Therefore, some of the dash lights, radio and blinkers don't display right. However, the blinkers and lights work perfect outside. I am not a wiring person, so I don't know what or where some of the wires get plugged in. While not original, the car runs great. It shifts hard, but I was told when I bought it, that is was designed that way but could easily be adjusted if so desired.
The interior is in overall good shape. Seats are nice as is the carpet, headliner and visors. The rear carpet under the window is not original a could easily be replaced and the drivers side quarter window lower headliner piece could use some attention. The previous owner decided toupgrade the dash with a original looking cover. I don't know if the mileage on the odometer shows actual.
Although this car has someminor issues, it can easily be driven daily and taken to car showswhile it is being put back to it's original status should you so choose.
