Car description |
---|
Up for auction is great 69 Judge project. It's a complete and a correct drive train car. I was planning on restoring for myself but other projects/opportunities came up so now I've decided to sell it.
The car is Carousel Red and has original paint in the jambs, under the carpet and under the deck lid. As you can see the car as been painted with gray primer over the original paint.
The front fenders are very nice (from another car). The hood is a very nice rust free real Ram Air hood. The upper pan is missing.
The doors have rust bubbles in the corners but are very fixable. The LH quarter has some rust but very fixable. The RH quarter is a lot worse and probably should be replaced. The deck lid has rust on the seam. The original spoiler is in good condition. The trunk floor needs to be replaced. The trunk drop offs look pretty good considering. The floors and rockers are really nice and can be saved with a few small patches. The frame looks good, straight and solid.
The engine is a correct WS code with cast 48 heads. The block and heads are dated about 2 1/2 months before the build date of the car. So the engine is considered to be correct/original. It also has the correct original Ram Air exhaust manifolds and intake manifold. The carb and distributor are incorrect. The lower ram air pan is also included. The ram air cable is still with the car under the dash. The engine turns over fine.
The transmission is a correct 69 M20 Muncie from a GTO. The shifter is the correct round stick Hurst with T handle. The differential is a 3:90 Posi with correct "N" nodular housing.
The wheels are 14X6 Rally IIs. The tires are newer 225 70 R 14 BFG Radial TAs with good tread.
The interior is all there and original. The seats are in good shape and probably be repaired/reused. The dash has several cracks.
As you can see from the PHS the car has hardly any options. This makes for a very simple restoration. No power antennas, AMFMs, power seats or other rare options to track down. This car was built to go RA III, 4 speed, Manual Steering, Manual brakes!
I have more pictures of the body available. The car is located about 60 mins south of Chicago.
Clear title in my name and PHS in hand. The car rolls very easily. I can store the car also for future pick up. I can also restore the car for you if you're interested.
This is a no reserve auction but the car is for sale locally. If you have a serious offer message or call Marvin at 815 521 9566 M-F 7AM-5PM. For the right price I will consider ending the auction. Thanks

Just to be clear...The car has correct Month/Year drive train parts but it is not completely numbers matching. The main items engine/trans are in line but the little things like carb, Alternator, distributor are not correct. I was planning on making the car numbers matching during the restoration.
