Car description

Few people even knew that Pontiac made a handful of GTOs in 1973, and while this one has its original V8, it has been enlarged from 400 cubic-inches to 468. That makes this larger than anything the factory ever has the guts to do. So when you get big power in a fully restored package, then you know this is the distinct muscle machine that you've always wanted.
This car was only available for one year, and that makes it instantly attractive. But how do you make a standout classic get even further ahead of the pack? Take some time to invest in a proper restoration so that each one of the unique curves shines like it was jewelry. The factory-correct Florentine Red gives this one a ruby-like presentation. And the classic Judge-style black and red stripe package seems to be particularly artful as it highlights everything from the bulge in the hood to the curve of the doorline. Plus, we love this generation of A-body Pontiacs for the way the trunk has a sleek slope that doesn't stop until it hits the chrome bumper. But more than stylish, this one also has a powerful presence with NACA ducts force feeing the hood, slotted rear windows, and plenty of GTO badging. The full sporty and premium presentation comes together perfectly on the bright set of correct Rally II wheels.
Just like the exterior color, the burgundy interior offers the aggressive feeling of red, but with more sophisticated tones. That's especially true for seats with their waterfall-style stitching. More of the premium feeling continues with the wood applique on the door panels, dash, and steering wheel. Plus, you have the best options of the time like an AM/FM stereo and factory air conditioning. Bucket seats and a driver-oriented center console are a must for a high-performance Pontiac, so it's great to have them looking so good today. Plus, the full set of gauges, including Pontiac's cool tach/clock combo really gets your heart racing in this fiery red coupe.
The most important component of this factory-correct Pontiac is what fills the engine bay. It's the original 400 cubic-inch V8, but a ton was invested in the rebuilt. Not only was it enlarged to 468 cubic-inches larger than anything Pontiac offered for this GTO but also it was fortified with the right components like a rebuilt harmonic balancer, new water pump, ARP rocker studs, as well as a complete camshaft, lifters, and springs kit from Comp Cams. We have the full list of investments from this restoration, so call for all the details. But for now, just know it was so thorough that even the original Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor was rebuilt. But all you can see in the engine bay is a cool correct appearance with the bold turquoise block peeking out from the glossy black components. Its preserved appearance will be a hit at car shows (just wait and see how many people want to take a picture of your "Keep your GM car all GM" sticker on the air cleaner.) The big V8 fires up with gusto, and you'll love the rumble of the dual exhaust. And the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes, means you can easily show it off everywhere.
This is a one year only GTO, which makes this Goat more of a unicorn. It even comes with plenty of documentation to back it up, including the original warranty card, title docs, owner's manual, maintenance records, restoration photos, and full PHS (Pontiac Historic Services) documentation. So if you're not quick enough to snatch up this rare Pontiac, you'll have as much proof it exists as, well, a unicorn. Call today!!!
