This auction is for a 1970 GTO project car. The car was factory equipped with a 455 HO engine,TurboHydro 400, Safe-T-Lock 12 Bolt limited slip differential,Power Disc front brakes,Hood tach, air conditioning, variable ratio power steering, bucket seat with console, rally gauges with clock and rally wheels. The engine is a 455 warranty Service Replacement with the original "64" casting heads. The car also has factory rear sway barsThe body is very solid with excellent floors all around. The trunk floor is also in very nice condition. The car has virtually no rust. The previous owner bought it and drove it to his shop and began disassembly, he said the motor runs very well. All the parts were labeled bagged and boxed. He replaced some parts but kept the originals .The front bumper is the only part missing. The car was originally Polar white with no vinyl top with brown interior. It was repainted once that root beer brown metallic that was popular in the early 1980s and the last owner sanded and primered a few spots, but the car has all of its original body panels. He said he ground a few filler spots out of the right rear quarter, but they are very small and I will provide a photo. The is one small rust spot on that wheel lip, there are no other spots that need rust repair that I can find. The dash passenger and rear seat are in good condition, the driver seat has some holes, the console is nice. All the glass is present and in good condition except the windshield has a small crack. This is a very solid GTO project, that needs a very minimum of metal work. The build tag and VIN number are intact and I have the title. Good tires and rally wheels that have the original red center caps. I can store the car for up to 90 days after receiving payment.
