Car description

I purchased the car from a friend who is an excellent mechanic with over 20 yrs experience working at a GM Dealership. The car was a traded in by a widow who’s husband owned the car. So I believe I am the third owner. The car had around 45,000 on it when I bought it in 2005. The listed mileage of 72,350 is correct. The odometer and speedometer have always worked properly and have never been repaired or replaced. The car has always been garage kept and it has not seen snow since I’ve owned it.

List of Items I have recently replaced with New Parts:

Alternator

Starter

Heater Core

Distributor Cap and Coil

Ignition Coil

Plugs and Wires

Hood and Hatch Lift Supports

Rebuilt both headlight motors

Headlights

Battery

Vehicle Runs, Drives, and Shifts great. There are no leaks and no check engine warning. There were a few very small spots where I noticed the paint bubbling slightly so I sanded down, primed and repainted those areas. Also the paint had peeled in a couple of spots around the vents on the top of the hood. I sanded, primed and repainted. I am not an expert at body work and tried to blend it and as good as I could but ended up repainting a much larger area than was needed. I included close ups of the areas I touched up. It has the original paint which looks remarkably good for its age, but there are small spots where the clear coat is starting to peel away. I did notice there is a section where it is slightly faded on the back driver side of the hood. It is only noticeable under certain lighting and while looking at it from a certain angle.

Like most of the third generation Trans Am’s, headliner has come loose in spots (I applied spray adhesive to it), driver side front seat has tears, small one on the passenger side, a couple of small ones in the back seat. Tears are due to Material used for the seats drying up not from overuse or abuse. Dash cracked in the middle. I filled the cracks and repainted it, but the cracks are still visible. The Spoiler is cracked and the retainer clips have deteriorated. I repaired and repainted it as much as possible. I repainted and resealed the crossmember the T-Tops sit on.

Overall I have taken great care of the car since I’ve owned it and have fixed any know issues. It should be a great running car for somebody but as with any vehicle that is 29 years old, I can not guarantee it. The car is being sold as is with no warranty. I have the car listed locally and reserve the right to end the listing at anytime. I will help with shipping any way I can. Feel free to ask me any questions and I will respond as soon as best as I can.
