Car description

I am selling my 1971 Pontiac Grandville Convertible. I am pretty sure it is the original 455 V8. It came with factory air, power windows, seats, and top. The air is currently not working. It is an original black car. It is now black with pearl and clearcoated. I have owned it for about 4 years and kept it in a garage. I moved in July and don't have room for it in the garage, and I have other toys that I use more and want to keep. This car is 46 years old. It is the first year for the Grandville. They only made a little over 1800 of the convertibles. It runs and drives. It has been changed over to electronic ignition. It could probably use a new carb, as it idles a little rough. On the road it runs smooth. The heater core has been bypassed. I still take it out on weekends once in a while. It is an older amateur restoration that was done before I purchased it. It still looks good and gets a lot of attention. I call it a 10 footer, it looks good from 10 feet away. As you look closer at it, you start to see areas that are starting to need some attention and some areas that have been touched up. Most of the pictures I included are of the areas needing attention. The top goes down fine, it needs a little help coming up in the beginning. The outer top is good with a glass rear window. There is no headliner on the inside. All power windows work. The power seat isn't working on the passenger side of the bench seat. The side mirrors on the doors are not correct, one is supposed to be remote. The gas gauge doesn't work. The sun-visors are in the trunk, they need replaced. The dash pad is cracked and the front seat seams are coming apart. The drivers side tail light area is the worst spot on the car as far as rust. There are some bubbles coming up on the top of the drivers fender. The floors seem ok, but the floor braces need some rust repair. All the body mounts and inner quarters behind the wheels are good. I can send some additional pictures if you email me (I could only upload 24 pics). The trunk floor needs some rust clean up.The underside of the trunk lid is in good condition. The American Racing Wheels are what was on the car when I purchased it. New tires about 2 years ago and probably less than 1000 miles since then. Spare rim only. I am selling this car AS-IS. Payment in full required with in 10 days and car must be picked up with in 15 days unless prior arrangements are made. Please email me with any questions.
