Car description |
---|
This is my 66 Tempest. I had plans for it but we all know how those stories go. Ownership will transfer via bill of sale. The car will need typical repairs for vehicles of this age and condition. The frame can stand to be blasted and powder coated or painted. The metal on the car is fair, it'll need lower patch panels all around and as well as floor repairs. The hinge on the driver side is broken but the door will open and will sag as it is only supported by the lower hinge. The doors do line up good, and are workable. The glass is all there and is in useable shape with no cracks. The windows function properly and are lined up good. The engine and trans in the car will need rebuilding if you choose to go that route. I looked at the numbers on the heads and they appear to be from a 67 GTO and the block from a 68 GTO. I can send you the numbers for personal verification but that's what my search yielded.
The front end is not on the car and is stored inside the car to keep it from the elements (except the hood). The car does have rust, dents scratches etc. If you've dealt with classics you know what to expect. Some other miscellaneous parts will come with the car but the important parts are in the pictures. There is no interior. I was told by the lad I purchased the car from that this is an original manual car. The pedals are in the car but there is no linkage.
I don't want the car to sit for another decade because someone can catch her before she fades away. The car does not run and you'll need a trailer to get it where you're going. If you're interested or have questions please feel free to contact me whenever. I've built a few cars so I can answer almost any question you may have. I've done my best to think of everything that comes to mind about the car. If there is anything you want to know just contact me. Again, this is a good project car and will require some time and resources. If you would like to see any additional pictures or have picture requests let me know. Don't be afraid to submit your offer if you're really interested.
All offers are considered.
