When you look for a high quality restored classic, you know you're going to pay a premium. That's why this one is so amazing. The first impression is a cool 1964 Pontiac Bonneville convertible with a nice price. But as you dig deeper, you'll see it's an original 389 V8 car with exceptionally low miles, plenty of documentation, and all the right show-stopping investments. The appeal of this convertible is as clear as black and white...literally! But how can such a nicely presented and low 54,517-mile droptop like this exist? Since the Bonneville was at the top of Pontiac's hierarchy, these always have a space in enthusiasts' hearts. A cut-above classic needs the right caretaker, and this one was once owned by the New England Pontiac Club president. This knowledgeable and passionate owner was the person who performed the careful restoration. That means the factory-correct Cameo Ivory has a great luster when you take it out in the sunshine exactly what you want on a classic ragtop. And complementing the shine of the paint is the complete bright work package. The stacked headlights maximize Pontiac's Wide Track design; the bumpers are some of the best-integrated pieces in '60s cars ever; and the grille is so wide that they extended the design lines through the headlight pods. It's all finished off with cool factory wheel covers that combine the spinner and turbine styles into one ornate design. The new power folding roof goes down with the touch of a button to reveal a nicely restored interior. And since both the top and interior are presented in a deep, dark black, this Bonneville has a timelessly elegant presentation with the roof on or off. A few well-chosen wood grain appliques warm up the black interior, and they work well with the sparkling shiny trim on the dash highlighting the Bonneville's "executive express" status. There's plenty of room to carry family and friends, but the best seat is always the one with the stylized steering wheel. A trio of gauges is angled towards the driver. They are just above the original radio that's still fully functional. And while that's part of the overall amazingly correct presentation, there's also a CD changer in the massive trunk. So this one is perfect for period-correct top-down cruising, and you can even do it with your favorite modern tunes.Under the hood is the numbers-matching V8, and the engine bay stays faithful to this car's original image right down to the black air cleaner and turquoise paint on the block. Fans of the GTO know the Pontiac 389 cubic-inch motor, and it's a great power plant to have here, too. There's a bit more grand touring weight in the Bonneville compared to the Goats, but that isn't a problem for this big power, four-barrel carb motor. So it was able to deliver on the Pontiac's performance promise. Then you add in great features like the three-speed automatic transmission, power brakes, power steering, and a supple ride. It's this fast moving and luxury cruising attitude that makes the coupe so desirable.Because this classic has been cherished, it comes with a ton of documentation, including the original window sticker, factory buildsheet, owner's manual, title docs, maintenance records, and a ton of restoration photos. So you're probably as amazed as we are that something this well-presented and desirable is also priced to be so obtainable. That's why you know you need to hurry on this deal. Call now!
