It's hard to get more 'Merican than a Red, White & Blue 4-Speed Trans Am. These T/A's have always been popular but since the upturn they have been doing quite well with the big auctions. So whether you are looking for a fun driver or an investment opportunity this is a car to consider.

This T/A is reported to have only 50k original (undocumented) miles. This is quite believable by the condition of the factory upholstery and undercarriage components. This car is in good condition with what appears to be a single older repaint done in Polar White. The paint does shine well but there are areas of paint checking on close inspection. Consider this one a 10-footer. There is some of the typical rust down low behind the rear wheels and bottom of the passenger front fender. From the underside the floors look and feel solid with some minor surface rust. The trunk pan which is a typical area for rust looks excellent in this car. The urethane bumpers appear to be in good condition for their age without any obvious signs of previous damage.

Inside, the factory 'Custom' Burgundy Interior is in surprisingly good condition. The upholstery is still soft and supple with great seat support. The cool factory machine turned dash looks great. Most of these dashes have been damaged beyond repair by oxidization. The gauges work well and respond properly. The 4 speed shift handle looks great and works well too. This one is highly optioned with power windows, power locksand power rear window defrost. The windows and lockswork nicely. The rear defrost switch works and lights up but with the summer weather it is really impossible to tell if it works.

Under the hood the 400 runs is the correctly coded WT engine and it runs excellent. The rare factory chrome valve covers and shaker assembly are still in good condition. This 400 is surprisingly torquey, with nice throttle response. The shaker is functional with a fine mesh screen allowing cold outside air in for the 400 to breath. The 4 speed transmission is a very desirable option and the gear changes are deliberate with positive engagement. The Factory Air Conditioning system appears to be all present but will need servicing as it does not currently work.

So there you have it, an Iconic Red, White & Blue American Muscle Car ready just in time for Summer!
