Car description |
---|
1962 Pontiac Grand Prix 389ci Auto Eight Lug Wheels. All chrome is still intact all badges all there, car is missing one center cap and two trim rings, also missing rear view mirror. All glass is good no cracks all glass rolls up and down fine, both doors shut good, body is in good condition no dents body lines are straight. There is noticeable light surface rust all around the car, but nothing major you would expect for a car this age! Keep in mind southern car all its life! Car was in dry storage barn for 30 years! and has spent the last 4 years in natural elements. All around windows body are fine no rust threw solid as a rock! All lower rockers are solid. You would expect to have the car professionally sand blasted to stop any further rust! Now lets move on to the inside interior is almost perfect minus the fact a dam rat chewed a spot at the top passenger side seat. The rest of the seats are perfect shape. There is the noticeable pitting on some of the chrome interior pieces pot metal over chrome. The inside truck is rusted out back driver side rear and a foot in one spot, rest one the other side is solid and one small spot on top side drive rear fender easy fix. There is some rust on rear bumper so it will have to be re chromed if you are making a show car. The front is good no rust but will have to be re chromed as well and looks to have taken a little bump here and there over the years. Now to the under side looks good from what i can tell no rust threw on floors or frame rails are solid car looks to have had a factory under coat that has preserved the underneath of the body. Gas tank filler neck looks clean on the inside and no rust on outside probably just needs a good cleaning. The motor spins freely and has good compression on all eight cylinders 195 psi. Now i will say I'm not in the car business and sure i missed something. Buyer is responsible for local pickup only. I'm not in the transport business that's all on the buyer! I have clean and clear NC title ready to transfer! If you have any questions or need more pics just call or text me at 803 610 7162.
