Car description |
---|
1978 Grand Prix 400 motor from a 68 GTO rebuilt 10 years ago. New crate transitionat that same time, with new B&M 2300 stall converter. Current small leak, seemed like they all did of this age.
Mid 70's Camaro limited slip rear end., (this was 4 inches wider than original so Wheels are off set) this was done around 1990 with new rims and tires at that time. Tires still hold air should be replaced soon has a bit of a shimmy at 70.
2016 had a mess trying to figure out power steering as the gear box was leaking and they don't make kits for the 78 any more you needed to upgrade. This moved the pump up on the side of the engine but there was no holes in the 68 motor for the high mount power steering pump. New brackets were made and a Grand National Power steering pump and gear box was installed. 2.5 turns lock to lock. really makes a difference on how it drives.
Car was ran once in 1991 at Union Grove at that point I had 750 Holleydouble pumper with different Ring and pinion gears. They told me I could not run again because it was too fast for NHRA regulations and didn'thave safety equipment. (Roll bars, special gas tank etc).
Currently has a 650 Holley with electric choke could use some tuning on the fuel pump but runs real good stock.
Too many toys this one has been around along time with me but I just don't use it.
Thanks for looking
