Car description |
---|
Up for grabs is a very descent 1975 Trans Am 6.6 Liter 40, originally and not so common Stirling Silver exterior and a blood red interior. The 74'75 & 76 Trans Am's are getting harder to find and are an iconic change in styling, very similar these three are with minor changes to the front bumper area and rear window. There were 20,277 1975 Trans Am's with Automatic transmissions produced and a total of 27,274 Trans am's including the 455 and manual 400s.

The car from what I gather is still a 75 400 with 6X cylinder heads which were also used on the 455 at that time. Late models got them, this car was built April 1975.
Has had an edelbrock intake and carb, headers and some nice mufflers. The car has its original door sticker with build date and cowl tag with all the pertinent info. I have not looked for the build sheet.
As you can see someone painted the car a dark gray and dyed some of the factory interior black. I am leaving the car as you see it in the pictures and videos. The car has some rust as expected but not in the common areas where these cars are all rotted out, surprisingly the car is a very good car. In the trunk area is some rust that you can see, a few small holes here and there, and the driver side area where the rubber goes there is some handy fiberglass in the run off area, nothing crazy as you can see. Floors and all the important stuff is about 90% of the car is in good condition. Some rust here and there in certain areas of the hood, under the front fenders.
There is a pretty bad exhaust leak that you can easily hear in the videos, there is a bolt I cant get in that was out when I got it, headers really need to come off and replace the gasket, next person can do what they want. Mileage unknown. The car runs pretty good down the road, smooth, stops nice no crazy pulls, power steering works nicely. Newer seats were put in which are in excellent condition.
Tires have good tread on em, not sure the date code, rims are from 80's GTA which I like personally alot on any GM car so if you have others this is a bonus. Car really needs the lower valance, new core support and radiator in my opinion, front fender flares etc, I priced out what I would do and new its at 1100 bucks. Then do your body work, interior some minor gasket repairs and have a great ride and be in it less and know what your getting when your done.
This car is ready for someone who wants to own one at a reasonable price. Ridiculous offers will automatically be declined.Thank you and the car is as described. The links to copy and paste are part of the description and highly advised to watch them.
