Description
The Good:
· 1984 Pontiac Trans Am, 305cc/5.0L V8, Automatic Transmission
· T-tops, Power windows/locks/seat/antenna
· 59,960 miles on original engine and transmission
· Metallic grey paint
· RUNS GREAT!
· Originally an Arizona car, so minimal rust. (wheel well rims only), very solid under carriage.Presently garage stored and driven once weekly to work.
· Original interior in good condition (small rip to driver seat covered by seat cover), slight droop to headliner, decent seals around doors and windows.
· New radiator, new old-stock carbeurator (4 barrel quadrajet)
· Excellent candidate for Knight Rider conversion!
The Less than Perfect:
· Smallchips in paint in various areas (front nose the most obvious), overall a solid coating of paint with good clear-coat covering. Would need a complete re-paint to make show-quality.
· Head covers have a very slow oil leak, few drops a day.
· Air conditioning does not blow cold anymore, needs re-charge of R-12 or complete conversion to R-34a.
· Tire tread a bit worn, may need new set if used as a more than fair weather driver.
Bottom Line:
· A solid car for being a 33 year old survivor!
· A ton of fun without anything needing to be done immediately!
· Great first car or adult toy/project
· I am willing to meet serious buyers within 30 minutes of the Des Moines, IA area to show prior to sale.
