1969 Pontiac Fire bird that had a complete frame of restoration with every component replaced. I purchased this numbers matching car from a long time Fire bird enthusiast that has at any one time 15 to 20 Fire birds in play where he takes the body off of the car and puts all new floor and trunk pans in. sand blasts and paints the frame and then reassembles the car. From that point on I had the car bare metal stripped and painted. The original paint code was a copper color and looked awful so I picked a period correct color code WA3863 which is lime green. From that point on I completely redid the interior with a new head liner. side panel sails. seat covers. dash pad. carpet set and detailed the trunk. The car has all new brakes front and back including new brake lines. fuel lines. fuel tank. and sending unit. I had the transmission rebuilt. added a period correct complete new exhaust system. nbsp;rebuilt the carburetor and detailed the engine compartment. The exterior has all new emblems. bumpers. rocker panel trim. head light bezels. inyl top. door handles. tc. The Universal red lines are also new that are on refurbished wheel rims. I kept the car completely stock but one thing that you will notice is that the rear quarter panels are from a Camaro not a Fire bird. I did not have them deleted because from what i understand there is a growing trend to have Fire birds converted into Camaros which can be easily done and they bring more money. I would not debate that point but any qualified body shop can delete them very easily. I feel this is a very nice 2 plus car that needs a couple of things to be close to perfect. The fuel gauge is not reading although as i mentioned the sending unit is new. The drivers side window does not match up to the weather stripping properly and might need a new window track. The front plastic head light trim pieces have the ends clipped off which i did not pick up on until i reassembled the front end. a I did buy new ones and they will come with the car painted to the correct color. Outside of these few things the car is really nice but as always it is in the eyes of the beholder so come look for yourself. I am in the Baltimore area. Any questions call Reese at 410-299-0557.
