I am selling my 1950 Pontiac 2 door. This car is a survivor with the exception of the interior. The car is equipped with the Pontiac straight 8 cylinder 268ci engine with 108HP. The engine never misses a beat; runs strong & never smokes. The engine starts right up; cold or hot. The oil filter was a factory option however it wasn't opted for this car; but the oil has been change regularly. It is equipped with the original Hyda-matic (automatic) tranmission. The fluid is fresh and the level is full. When at speed and you floor it the Hydramatic kicks down and the thrill is awesome. There are no odd noises from the rear end. The 4 wheel drum braking system is original to the car; the car stops well and straight. Previous owner claims the muffler is original which I cannot verify; however there are holes in it. The body is very straight and rust free. The black lacquer paint is original to the car. Therefore there are no body repairs. Over the 65 years the paint has worn thin in a lot of areas and the white primer shows through. The chrome is not rusty or pitted. nbsp;but shows some wear; however it shines up nicely. The body panel fit is nice and is very solid. The car has the original 6V electrical system. All the exterior lights work including the under hood courtesy light. All the interior lights work including behind the gauges and the column mounted shifter indicator. The radio works with no buzzing. The interior has been redone in the past few years. It is tasteful and very nice but not a Pontiac color/fabric. The dashboard finish is nicely finished. and the chrome is decent; not pitted or rusty. Recently I replaced the water pump. thermostat. upper/lower radiator hoses and had the radiator cleaned. The cooling system now works well; however the water temp gauge is inaccurate at times. I have good reason to believe it's the sending unit. I love the car; however to drive it not only gets numerous looks but it's a blast to drive. If you like old original cars buy this one. It's an honest and incredibly fun car to own. Please note: If you desire an inspection; be sure to contact the seller asap to have the inspection completed before the auction closes. Do not bid if you are unsure about condition. Feel free to ask any questions.
