1981 V6 Firebird Coupe
All orignal Car. To help protect the condition of this car along with 8 other vehicles they were stored in a insulated concrete floor warehouse with no windows or direct interrior lighting. The warehouse had interior climate control. The car body and interior is in nearly new condition. The car runs beautiful, It started up as soon as we put new gasoline in it. The ac needs to be charged I know it did work when it was parked. I have 2 cans of R12 that was in the car when I received it, I just donot have an R12 recharge hose to charge it with. I have not cleaned the engine or under side of the car. I did have the oil changed last week and looked under it while it was on the rack. The only Oil leak I could find was a slight oil leak at the valve cover gaskets not a bad leak at all. I just feel I need to mention this. The engine and transmission are the orignal they have never needed major repair other than normal maintance. There was a recall on the ac bracket that had to be replaced back in the eightys. I do have the Firebird Emblem that goes on the fuel door it is in the trunk. It was somehow knocked off and the backing pins snapped off the exterior of the emblem is in excellent condition. I think it could be put back on with expoxy glue. I do have most all the maintance paper work and the delivery books that came with the car New. This car has had only one small dent repaired and both doors painted since it was new. The orignal new car paper work shows (Because of small bubbles in the paint) the car had both doors repainted before the new owner took delivery from the Pontiac Dealer. It had one small ding repaired on the top right corner just above the windshield passenger side. It was hit with a ball. The work was so good 30 years later you still can't tell it was repaired. I know this car as it belonged to my father. He passed away in 2016. He purchased the car from an army captian in 1981 it only had 6100 miles on it at that time. I drove the car to college some in the fall of 1982. My father never permited anyone to drive the car in snow or bad weather it had to stay in the garage. There is no signs of rust other than slight surface rust to the frame under the car. In my unprofessional opinion I don't think you can look the country over and find a 36 year old car in this good orignal condition. We were told there are less than 100 V6 Firebirds Coupes with matching engine numbers known to exist. This car is for sale lacally I reserve the right to cancel the listing an anytime.
